BMW M5 Detail

When it was dropped off,

Dirty wheels

Exhaust tips pretty stained

Assembling the various items needed to attack the beast.

Tires getting some APC

Spraying down the wheel wells with some APC

Wheels got P21S Wheel Gel, let it dwell on the wheels for a few minutes

Dirt and brake dust everywhere

Spraying them down and looking good

That's more like it

On to the engine bay which was pretty dusty and dirty also.

Sprayed down the engine with P21S Total Auto Wash and left to dwell for a bit

Swissvax brush getting into the tight spots.

After, All cleaned up and dressed with Adam's In & Out Spray.

  On to the wash:

Brought the car inside and foamed it down with some Dawn/Citrus Wash mixture to strip all previous protection from the paint. Foaming the car lifts all the dirt and grime away from the paint without scratching the paint as it drips off the vehicle.

Exhaust tips getting some work on them, used steel wool and Optimum Metal Polish.

Car got clayed with Clay Magic Blue clay, and ONR diluted to clay bar lube. As you see it wasn't pulling very much gunk from the hood, I clayed the front and rear bumpers which were pretty dirty. The rear bumper had tree sap all over it.

                Tree Sap

Took my readings, turned out pretty normal and within healthy figures for correction purposes.

Pretty much the extent of the paint, Just usual water etching and a few RIDS here and there. For the car being a 2006 the paint was in good shape overall.
I did a few test sections using different compounds and found that M105/Surbuf on DA worked best.

Then polished down with PO85RD, then I used CG EZ-Creme Glaze to cleanse the paintwork and prep it for LSP.

                Getting taped up

The car got dusty from compounding

Crazy reflections

                  Post polishing wash

Wheels got a coat of Swissvax Autobahn

        Exhaust tips cleaned up nicely.

LSP I chose Blackfire Wet Diamond to seal the paint as well as make it very wet in   appearence.

Door seals got 1z Gummi Pflege

                              Interior got cleaned up too.

  Vacuumed and organized the trunk.

                                                               Black Sapphire Metallic looking great
